Hello! It's been a while! I recently started a new job at a wedding company and haven't been feeling the best emotionally - so I gave myself some time off. But I am back! &I am going to be blogging more frequently!
Anyway! I recently read a really cute book last month - Fangirl.
I was REALLY hesitant about reading this book since it is a YA (Young Adult) novel and about "fandoms." I just overall thought it wasn't going to be something I would be able to relate to.
Man, was I wrong. This book was fucking cuteeee! About two twin sisters, Cath and Wren, going off to college together but ultimately living two vastly different lives. Wren goes off on the sorority/part girl path whereas Cath stays secluded and very much into her own world of fanfiction and "Simon Snow."
But if that little itty bitty plot summary is enough to turn you away - trust me it is more than that. Cath finds herself through her weird and amazingly entertaining experiences with her roommate and her roommate's boyfriend...maybe?
This book reminded me of how beautiful and strange the first year of living on your own feels, as well as falling in love for the very first time with something real and something genuine.
This book reads like a YA novel should - fast, fun, emotionally all over the place, and full of "awww" moments.
I suggest this book to anyone who just loves a good story! It makes a great beach read/summer read and is super quick to digest :)
10/10
AMAZING!
Please let me know what you think if you've read it or have any questions about it! I can't really sleep and currently binge watching Bob's Burgers season 4 on Hulu ♡
