A staple in my beauty regimen is primer and I am very aware that a lot of beauty gurus don't recommend primer since moisturizers do basically the same job - but for me it is essential. I have really dry skin and my makeup tends to gather in dry patches on my skin and cakes up when I wear it for long periods of time, which of course I do! So I need something to keep my skin hydrated underneath all my makeup and this Laura Mercier hydrating foundation primer has done the best job! I have used Smashbox's Photo Finish primer and it honestly did nothing for my skin, but this one is so smooth and creamy, you can see the difference when wearing it.
It has a nozzle tube applicator as they all do and it is tempting to squirt out a bunch - DON'T! Just a little dime size is enough for your entire face.
It's a white cream color, not translucent like a lot of other primers, which I think adds to its richness.
I got mine at Macy's and I know its available on the Macy's website and select stores, but it is available at all Sephoras and on their website, it is a little pricey at $33, but it will last you quite some time. This is my second bottle that I've purchased and the first one lasted me from August until now!
